If you’re using collections to build sites, you know how important it is to protect the integrity of those collections. Now, you can protect collections from client editing with Lock Collections.
Lock Collection comes with two levels of lock:
This is what your client sees when a collection is locked.
This is what your team sees when a collection is locked.
Let’s say you have a site connected to multiple collections. You may want your clients to be able to edit some of the collections, but not all of them.
With Lock Collections, you can give clients Full Editing or Content Library Permissions, and lock the collections that aren’t relevant to them. You’ll protect the content you want to protect while saving yourself time by enabling clients to update what’s relevant to them.
Lock Collections is available in the platform and via API. In the platform, open the Content Library > Collections and click on the cog icon beside the name of the collection you want to to lock.
For documentation about how to add this via API, see this.
