Update Your Native Store’s Product Catalog via CSV Upload

The native store’s catalog management just got better. Now you can update existing products in your catalog using a simple CSV file upload. In addition, you can now easily export your product catalog.

How to update existing products in your catalog

  1. First, export your existing products in your product catalog (this is also new!)
  2. In your exported file, make the necessary changes to products in the file.
  3. Re-upload the CSV to the store.
  4. Check the Update existing products checkbox.

The product update checkbox makes it possible to replace existing products in the store catalog with duplicate products from your CSV upload. This lets you update products with new data or to change their existing attributes.

How updating existing products can help merchants

Let’s say a store owner wants to increase the price of all their products by 5%. By simply editing the product prices in the CSV file and then re-uploading it to the store, catalog price updates become a simple and easy task.

To keep your existing catalog products unaffected by any CSV file duplicates, simply uncheck the Update existing products checkbox. This will skip any duplicate products detected in your CSV upload, while adding only the new ones to your catalog.

As mentioned in the first step of updating catalog products above, you can now also export your entire existing catalog to a CSV file with a single click, should you choose to do so.
