Now there’s a whole new service you can start using right within the Duda platform: buying and connecting a custom domain to a site.
Please note that domain purchases are currently available only in custom plan accounts.
How do you usually deal with a client who asks for a site plus a custom domain? Do you build their site on Duda and handle buying and connecting the domain yourself? Do you build their site and then send them over to Google Domains or GoDaddy to take care of their custom domain themselves? Now it’s never been easier to be the provider of both services without leaving the Duda platform.
Once your client’s site is ready and published, you’ll see an option to get a custom domain. Choose that to enter the new domain purchase flow within Duda. Easily search for and get the domain your client wants, add domain registration information and that’s it - the custom domain will connect to the new site.
Once purchased, you can easily manage your domain in the
Site Overview.
When you buy a domain through Duda, its cost is added to your monthly Duda invoice. This means you get to easily track your expenses so you know exactly how much you want to bill your clients for your work.
When a site has a custom domain like mysite.com, the people who enter the site get the impression of a professional and established business. In terms of SEO, Google favors websites with a short and catchy domain name.
Please note that currently you can only have one domain per site, and the domain endings now available for purchase are .com, .org and .net.
