Duda's Monthly Wrap Up (July)

This post is part of our Monthly Wrap Up series - a collection of small product and feature improvements we’ve released in the past month.

More Management Power for Membership Sites

We’ve made several updates to the Membership feature in the Duda platform. These will help you better manage and reach potential member audiences:

Filter members based on their status

Now you can filter your site members list based on their status - filter by Active, Pending, and even Unauthorized.

Choose a default state for your site’s signup/login

You now have the option to choose whether first time members landing on your site will see a signup screen or a login one. This can be easily set in the Login widget’s panel, in addition to other content and design customizations.

Offer translated signup pages

Duda’s Login widget is now fully localized and supports non-English languages. The widget will automatically take on your site’s default language. So if your membership site is in French, the login/signup page will be in French, too.

Automate Your Store’s Order Management with Zapier Integrations

If you’ve built a store using our native eCommerce solution (or plan to build one soon), you’ll be happy to know that you can now use Zapier to automate the push of new store orders data to other apps and tools such as Google sheets, HubSpot, Salesforce and more. This can help to expand your stores’ operational, sales, and customer communication capabilities, and speed up the entire workflow.

Here are some examples of what automations new store orders can trigger:

  • Marketing campaigns
  • Lead nurturing
  • Sales pipeline management
  • Customer emails/push notifications
  • Team notifications

And the list goes on...

Zapier integrations are available in the Team account plan and higher. To see the Zap templates relevant to the native store, open the eCommerce tab in the editor > Manage orders > See Zap templates.

Change to the Airtable + Duda API Integration

Airtable is transitioning from API keys to using Personal Access Tokens for integrations. This change will affect how you connect your Duda site with Airtable data collections.

We’re happy to share that Duda already fully supports Airtable’s Personal Access Tokens.

Here’s the timeline for the Airtable API change:

  • Starting August 1, 2023, you'll need to use a Personal Access Token when creating a new Airtable collection within Duda.
  • Starting February 1, 2024, API keys will no longer be accepted by Airtable. This means any existing Airtable collections using API keys will experience disruptions if they aren't updated.

To ensure your Airtable collections in Duda perform as they should without interruptions, it's crucial to update your existing integrations with Personal Access Tokens as soon as you can.

How to update your existing integration with Airtable:

  1. Log into your Duda account and navigate to the Content section of your site in the editor.
  2. Choose Collections and find the Airtable collection you want to update.
  3. Click Collection Settings.
  4. Replace the current API Key with your new Personal Access Token (with the correct data.records:read scope and base access) in the API Key field.
  5. Finish the update by clicking Refresh Data and then Done.

That's it for this month. See you in next month's Monthly Wrap Up post.
