Show Your Site Name in Google Search Results
Last October, Google Search introduced site names on mobile search results. The goal is to make it easier for people to identify the website that's associated with each result. Google tries to generate the site name based off of a few areas of the page: The title tag, H1 headings on the page, open graph site_name tags and schema tags.
We saw it as an opportunity for you to boost your clients' business discoverability in search results, so we immediately implemented it into the platform. Duda now automatically embeds the website schema tags to the homepage of the website, based on the business name you set in the content library.
What are site names in Google Search?
Previously, search results depended on a site’s entered title tags to show a web page in Google Search results, like Duda - The Professional Website Builder You Can Call Your Own. Businesses would usually use a sentence that includes relevant keywords in the hopes of getting a higher rank in Google results of relevant searches.
Now, Google Search lets sites display just the site name - the business name you add to the site’s content library.

After you’ve added the business name and published the website, you can verify that the WebSite schema is implemented by running the home page through the schema validation tool.
